Hearing Test
Pure tone audiometry is the gold standard when it comes to testing hearing, identifying hearing loss, and uncovering ear/ nerve pathologies.
It is safe and painless, and our equipment ensures accurate results. This can then be used to check for speech recognition, uncomfortable loudness levels, and auditory processing disorders.
Tympanometry
This test is highly useful in order to check the health of the ear drum. It also analysis the status of the 3 small ossicles inside our middle ear. Finally, it also assesses for the presence of fluid behind the ear drum (ilma wara t-tambur), which is common in children.
It also can provide a good indication of acoustic and vestibular nerve tumours via acoustic reflexes.
Tinnitus
Tinnitus is a ringing, whistling sound which a person experiences. This sound can only be heard by the person suffering from it. The sound may create anxiety, hearing loss, stress, social isolation, and lack of sleep amongst others.
